Poco M7 Pro 5G launched in December, and now it’s almost time for its sibling to make its debut. Poco M7 5G Appears on Google Play Console, giving us a first look at the phone and revealing some of its key specifications.

First Image & Display Details

Google Play Console listing has given us a first look at Poco M7 5G, revealing both its design and some key specifications. The image in the listing shows a modern and stylish design with slim bezels on the top and sides making screen feel more immersive. However, like many budget-friendly phones, the bottom bezel—often referred to as the “chin”—is noticeably thicker. The selfie camera is placed in a small hole-punch cutout at the top center of the screen, which is a common feature in many modern smartphones.

Poco M7 5G comes with a 720 x 1640 resolution display. While it may not be the sharpest screen available, it should still offer a clear and smooth experience for browsing, watching videos and scrolling through social media. Most users who are not too particular about ultra-high resolution should find it perfectly adequate for everyday use.

Since the phone has now been spotted on Google Play Console, it is expected to launch soon. More details about the battery, cameras, refresh rate and other features should emerge in the coming days.

Performance & Hardware

Under the hood, the Poco M7 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. This is a budget-friendly yet efficient processor, built to handle everyday use, light gaming and multitasking without major slowdowns.

The listing also confirms that at least one version of the phone will come with 4GB of RAM. However, it’s possible that Xiaomi will release other configurations with more RAM, such as 6GB or even 8GB, to give users more options.

Software & Operating System

One downside of the listing is that the Poco M7 5G will ship with Android 14, even though Android 15 has already been out for several months. While Android 14 is still a solid operating system with plenty of features, it would have been nice to see the latest version pre-installed. Hopefully, an update to Android 15 will come soon after launch.

Expected Launch & Availability

Although not much else is known about the phone yet, the appearance of a Google Play Console listing usually means that an official launch is just around the corner. We can expect Xiaomi to announce Poco M7 5G soon, possibly within the next few weeks.

With its 5G connectivity, efficient chipset and modern design, Poco M7 5G is shaping up to be a solid budget option. We’ll have to wait for the official launch to get more details on pricing, battery capacity, camera specs, and availability.
