Google claims these earbuds are made to fit all ears, thanks to data from 45 million ear shape measurements. In practice, they deliver — feeling comfortable, stable and light even during long usage. You can lock them in for sports or leave them untwisted for casual, all-day wear.
Touch Controls:
Touch panels handle play, pause, skipping and volume adjustment. While swipe gestures for volume are a bit unconventional — forward to increase, backward to decrease — it’s something you’ll quickly adapt to. You can also customize hold gesture for each earbud to switch between Transparency Mode or summon Gemini AI assistant.

Sound is “polite” in the sense that nothing is overdone. Although more experimental sound characteristics may be preferred by audiophiles, these earbuds offer steady, dependable audio quality for daily use.
Ability to alter dynamic EQ is an intriguing feature, since sound appears to vary depending on the music or even the shape of your ears. However, lack of compatibility for sophisticated codecs like LDAC in earbuds may degrade the overall quality of the audio.
One drawback is that sound quality drastically degrades, becoming flat and imbalanced, when you disable Transparency mode or ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). Although it might be a bug, this is something to be aware of.
App offers a few pre-set sound profiles but default setting is best for most listeners. You can adjust EQ slightly with basic sliders for treble, mids and bass, though it’s not as advanced as other earbuds in this range.

This works with any Bluetooth 4.0+ device, including Windows and Mac computers, iPads and iPhones. Earbuds will automatically switch to newest audio source, so if you’re listening to music on your laptop and get a call on your phone, they’ll switch to phone instantly.

Should You Buy Google Pixel Buds Pro 2?
Pixel Buds Pro 2 are a great choice if you want earbuds that are likely to fit well and sound good without too much fuss. They don’t take risks but do a great job at delivering a solid experience which makes them worth $229 price tag.
Compared to competition, Pixel Buds Pro 2 offer a better fit than Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which tend to move around during calls. However, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have better stem controls with pinch and swipe functions. Pixel Buds Pro 2 sound good, though Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have a bit more emphasis on high-end frequencies.
Pixel Buds Pro 2 might be a better option if your AirPods Pro are always falling out of your ears. Additionally, they are comparable to the less expensive, pinch-controlled Nothing Ear Buds. Nothing Earbuds include sophisticated EQ for sound customisation, but they have greater bass & treble.
