Xiaomi Redmi Note 14S Launches with Trusted Specs and Features
Xiaomi Redmi Note 14S launches with trusted specs, featuring a 200MP camera, AMOLED display, and Helio G99 chip. A familiar mid-range option!

Xiaomi Redmi Note 14S Launches with Trusted Specs and Features as the company introduces this new smartphone in Central and Eastern Europe. It was announced as a new device for Czechia and Ukraine, but in reality, it is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G. The main difference is the redesigned camera module on the back, but the overall specifications remain the same.
Familiar Features and Specifications
The Redmi Note 14S comes with the same specifications as the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G, which was launched more than a year ago. It has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This guarantees vivid colors and a fluid scrolling experience for games, films and everyday use.
Under the hood, device is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 chipset which is designed for mid-range smartphones. While this processor is capable of handling daily tasks and light gaming, it is not a major upgrade compared to previous models.
One of the biggest selling points of Redmi Note 14S is its 200MP main camera on back. This high-resolution sensor is designed to capture detailed photos but since the hardware and software are the same as last year’s model, overall camera performance remains unchanged.
Software Concerns
When Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G in early 2024, it came with Android 13, which was already an older version of the operating system. Surprisingly, Xiaomi has not mentioned any updates in the Redmi Note 14S. This raises concerns that the phone may still run on a two-year-old Android version even though it features Xiaomi’s new HyperOS. Without confirmation from the company, it is unclear whether HyperOS on this device includes any meaningful software improvements.
Design and Color Options
While the internal hardware remains the same, the Redmi Note 14S does introduce a slight design change. Main difference is the redesigned camera island, giving the phone a refreshed look. Xiaomi is offering Redmi Note 14S in three colors: Blue, Purple and Black.
Aside from the camera design, the rest of the phone looks identical to its predecessor. It maintains the same sleek & modern appearance with a thin body and a punch-hole display for the front camera.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi Note 14S is now available for purchase in Ukraine and Czechia. The pricing is as follows:
- Ukraine – UAH 10,999
- Czechia – CZK 5,999
- Equivalent to around $260 (€240) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
These prices make the phone an affordable mid-range option, but since it shares almost everything with the older Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G, potential buyers may question whether it is worth the purchase.

Should You Buy the Redmi Note 14S?
Redmi Note 14S has a clear AMOLED display, a high-resolution camera, and good performance for daily tasks. However, the lack of software updates could be a downside since newer smartphones usually get the latest Android versions for better security and efficiency.
It is basically the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G with a slightly altered camera and a different moniker. It might not seem like an upgrade to someone who already have a phone like that. Redmi Note 14S is a good choice if you’re searching for a new phone in mid-range. However, upgrading might not be required if you currently own a recent Redmi Note model.
Conclusion
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 14S is now available in Czechia and Ukraine offering a familiar set of features at an affordable price. While the 200MP camera and AMOLED display are highlights, phone does not bring significant upgrades over its predecessor. If Xiaomi confirms future software updates, it could become a more attractive option. For now, it remains a budget-friendly device with a refreshed design and reliable performance.
