Design
Poco C75 5G has a plastic back with a marbled pattern, available in three colors. The frame is plastic with a matte finish. On the right, it features volume buttons and a power button with a fingerprint scanner. The top houses a headphone jack, and the bottom has a loudspeaker and a USB-C port.
The front has a 6.88-inch display with thick bezels and a teardrop notch for the 5MP front camera. The phone lacks a traditional proximity sensor, relying on the touchscreen to detect skin contact. Itโs IP52-rated for basic dust and water resistance but feels less premium than glass-backed models like the Redmi A4.
Display
6.88-inch IPS LCD screen offers a 720p resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports 450 nits brightness (600 nits HBM). The display is color-accurate with sRGB support but lacks HDR. Viewing angles are limited, and brightness dims outdoors.
The advertised 120Hz refresh rate isnโt consistent across all apps, with many defaulting to 60Hz.
Battery and Charging
Poco C75 5G features a 5160mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. However, included charger is only 10W, resulting in slow charging speeds. Even with a faster charger, it takes over two hours for a full charge.
On the plus side, the phone offers excellent battery life, lasting more than a day on a single charge thanks to its efficient chipset.
Software
Poco C75 5G runs on Xiaomiโs HyperOS based on Android 14, with promises of two major Android updates and four years of security updates. However, one of those updates will likely only bring Android 15, so realistically, it only offers one additional major update.
Software experience is similar to MIUI, with a few tweaks. The launcher is slightly different and the notification center maintains the MIUI design. Thereโs also a lot of pre-installed third-party apps, but they can be removed. Ads can appear in Xiaomi apps but can be disabled, though it’s a bit complicated.
Performance
Poco C75 5G features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. It’s designed for everyday tasks but isnโt great for heavy use.
It supports 5G but only with Jioโs SA network in India. Performance can feel slow, especially when opening apps or multitasking, as some apps are locked to 60Hz and can lag. For casual users, it works fine, but if you need heavy multitasking or gaming, it may not meet expectations.
In benchmark tests, it scored lower than other phones in its range, and while itโs acceptable for daily tasks like calls and messages, it’s not ideal for running multiple apps or high-end games.
Camera
Poco C75 5G has a 50MP rear camera with a Sony IMX852 sensor. It supports autofocus but lacks image stabilization. Video recording is limited to 1080p at 30fps. The front camera is 5MP and also shoots 1080p video.
Camera app is basic, with modes like portrait, time-lapse and night mode. The rear camera takes decent photos with natural colors and good detail, but some noise may appear and dynamic range isn’t always great. 2x digital zoom works well for sharing photos online.
One disadvantage is lack of picture stabilization for video which causes unsteady footage unless manually stabilized.
