Google pixel 7 pro Review
Google Pixel 7 Pro features a 6.7" OLED display, Tensor G2 chip, 5x zoom camera, and a 5000mAh battery for all-day performance.

Google Pixel 7 Pro is an improved variant from the previous year. Tensor G2 chip enhances camera and performance while maintaining same building design. For a smoother appearance, camera bar is now integrated into the metal frame.
The new telephoto camera has a smaller sensor but a 5x zoom. While competitors utilize 4nm, the Tensor G2 chip uses a 5nm technology, which boosts performance.
It features a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED screen that supports HDR10+ and has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Stereo speakers, an under-display fingerprint sensor and Ultra Wideband (UWB) compatibility are additional features.
Although the charging speed of 5000mAh battery is slower than that of some competitors, it enables 23W fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
Pixel 7 Pro is still an effective flagship option thanks to its excellent cameras, clean software and stylish looks.

Google pixel 7 pro Review: Design, build quality and handling
Google returned to the premium smartphone market with the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, and the Pixel 7 Pro continues that evolution. It keeps the large, curved design while refining the signature camera bar, which is now part of the aluminum frame for better durability.
The phone comes in three colors: Obsidian, Hazel, and Snow. The glossy finish on the frame and camera bar easily picks up fingerprints, especially on darker shades. The Pixel 7 Pro is also IP68-rated for dust and water resistance, though its protection is not as deep as some iPhones.
The 6.7-inch OLED display has curved edges and a thin black border. The under-display fingerprint scanner is positioned well but isnโt the fastest. The phone has multiple antenna bands and a SIM slot on the left, while the USB-C port and speakers are on the bottom.
Despite being similar in size to the Galaxy S22 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the Pixel 7 Pro feels more compact due to its rounded edges and lighter weight. For a smaller option, the regular Pixel 7 is available, though it is still fairly large.
Google pixel 7 pro Review: Display, battery life, charging speed and speaker
Pixel 7 Pro has a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a sharp 1440×3120 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It can adjust from 10Hz to 120Hz to save battery. The display is bright, reaching 1090 nits with adaptive brightness. It supports HDR10 and HDR10+ but not Dolby Vision.
The Natural mode is best for sRGB content, while the Adaptive mode makes colors more vibrant. There are no temperature controls, but colors stay consistent.
The 5,000mAh battery lasts a full day, with 12 hours of browsing and over 17 hours of video playback. It has an endurance rating of 83 hours. Lowering the screen resolution to 1080p helps battery life a little but doesnโt change video playback much.
Charging takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes to fully charge, and the phone supports 23W wireless charging. The speakers offer clear sound with good bass. It competes well with top phones like the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Galaxy S22 Ultra in loudness and quality.
Google pixel 7 pro Review: User interface and performance
Google Pixel 7 Pro runs on clean Android 13, offering a smooth experience without extra customizations. It gets fast updates, with three years of major updates and five years of security patches.
The interface is simple and easy to use. Quick toggles are pill-shaped, the notification shade is clean, and there are theming options for icons. Swiping up opens the app drawer with the keyboard for quick searches, which can be turned off.
Android 13 supports Spatial Audio with compatible headphones and Bluetooth LE Audio for better sound. The Pixel 7 Pro also includes AI-powered features thanks to the Tensor G2 chip.
Google Assistant can screen calls, showing a text transcript. It can also transcribe menu options when calling businesses and suggest better call times. Call captions provide real-time text transcriptions, and noise suppression makes calls clearer.
The phone can transcribe conversations with speaker labels, identify songs playing nearby, and copy text from images. Google Photos can also fix blurry pictures.
Face unlock works quickly but uses the selfie camera, making it less effective in low light.
The Pixel 7 Pro is powered by the Tensor G2 chip, which improves AI tasks. While it’s not the most powerful phone, its smart features make it unique.
Google pixel 7 pro Review: Camera
Pixel 7 Pro has better cameras. The main camera is 50MP with good colors and a stabilized lens to reduce blur. The ultrawide camera has autofocus, making close-up shots sharper. The zoom camera now has 5x zoom instead of 4x but has a smaller sensor.
Photos in daylight are clear and natural. The 2x and 5x zoom levels keep details sharp. At 10x and 30x zoom, the Pixel does well, but the Galaxy S22 Ultra is better for extreme zoom. The ultrawide camera captures sharp images, and close-up shots take a moment to process but turn out well.
At night, the Pixel 7 Pro takes photos with natural colors. Night Sight helps in dark places. The 5x zoom works well in low light, sometimes better than other phones.
Portrait mode has two zoom options: 1x and 2x. The 1x mode takes clear photos with good background blur, while the 2x mode loses some sharpness. The main camera takes more detailed shots, especially for faces.
The selfie camera has 0.7x and 1.0x zoom options. The 0.7x zoom takes good selfies in bright light but struggles indoors. The 1.0x zoom is slightly softer but usable. Portrait selfies arenโt very sharp, and background blur isnโt perfect.
The Pixel 7 Pro records up to 4K60 video on all cameras but doesnโt support 8K. Daylight videos have sharp details and rich colors. The 2x and 5x zoom are decent, and the ultrawide camera does well. In low light, the main camera captures detailed videos with good colors, but the 2x zoom can be soft.
The phone has four stabilization modes: Standard for most shots, Locked for steady zoomed-in videos, Active for motion shots (limited to 1080p), and Cinematic Pan for smooth, slow-motion clips.
Google Pixel 7 Pro: Pros & Cons

๐ Loud stereo speakers. | ๐ Weak ultrawide camera in low light. |
๐ธ Great camera quality. | ๐คณ Selfies lack sharpness. |
๐ฐ More affordable than rivals. | โ |
Conclusion
Google Pixel 7 Pro struggles with mainstream popularity due to limited global availability, though it has expanded to 16 countries this year.
Its biggest highlight is the camera, which offers improvements, though not groundbreaking. The software experience is smooth and well-optimized, giving a unique feel only Pixels offer.
However, it falls behind in battery life compared to iPhones and Galaxy devices, and its slow chargingโtaking around two hoursโis a drawback. While the camera is great, thereโs still room for improvement.
Pixel 7 Pro is a solid phone with competitive pricing. It can attract new users, but existing Pixel owners may not find enough reason to upgrade.
