Infinix Note 50 Pro+ Design and Build Quality: Premium Feel and Comfortable Handling

Infinix Note 50 Pro+ has a much better build than before. Instead of plastic, it now has a strong metal frame called ArmorAlloy, which feels solid and premium in hand.

The back of the phone feels like glass, and it doesn’t scratch easily — much better than the Note 50 Pro 4G. Strangely, Infinix doesn’t mention this in their marketing. The back has a frosted finish, making it less slippery but not completely free from fingerprints. The camera area is glossy and catches smudges more easily.

Our unit is in Titanium Grey, but you can also get it in Enchanted Purple or the special Racing Edition, made in collaboration with a BMW partner. The Racing Edition comes with its own special packaging and extra accessories.

The phone is IP64 rated, meaning it’s fully protected against dust and safe from water splashes.

There’s a dual nano-SIM slot, but no eSIM support.

A unique design feature is the octagonal camera island, which includes not just cameras but also a heart-rate sensor and a smart LED light system called Halo AI Lighting. It uses 84 LEDs to show notifications and can even help with taking timer photos.

On the front, the 6.78-inch OLED display has thin bezels, giving the phone a modern look. The under-display fingerprint scanner is fast and works well, even with the screen protector, though it’s placed a bit lower than we’d like.

Infinix Note 50 Pro plus Display, Battery Life, Charging Speed and Speakers

The Infinix Note 50 Pro+ comes with a 6.78-inch OLED display that delivers vibrant colors and deep contrast. With a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling and animations feel fast and fluid. The display also gets bright enough for outdoor use, making it great for watching videos or browsing under sunlight.

When it comes to battery life, the 5,000mAh battery performs well, easily lasting a full day of moderate to heavy use. Whether you’re streaming videos, gaming, or multitasking, you won’t have to worry about running out of power too quickly.

Charging is another strong point. The Note 50 Pro+ supports 100W fast charging, which can power up the battery from 0 to 50% in just about 10 minutes. A full charge takes roughly 25 minutes, making it very convenient for users on the go.

For audio, the phone features stereo speakers that deliver clear and loud sound. The dual-speaker setup provides a more immersive experience, whether you’re watching videos, gaming, or listening to music. While it’s not flagship-level audio, it’s definitely above average for its class.

Infinix Note 50 Pro plus Software and Performance

Infinix Note 50 Pro+ runs on Android 15 with XOS 15. Infinix offers 2 major updates and 3 years of security updates, which should be enough for most users.

XOS 15 looks similar to other Android interfaces, so you won’t have to learn anything new. It also lets you customize app folders in different layouts, making it easier to organize.

The phone has many AI features, such as text recognition, document translation, call summaries, and more. You can even download AI models to use on the phone without sending data to the cloud.

The Active Halo lighting on the phone can show notifications and track your heart rate and oxygen levels. However, you’ll need to download a separate app to use the IR emitter, as there’s no built-in one.

The Note 50 Pro+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It handles multitasking and gaming well.

In benchmarks, it performs better than phones like the Samsung Galaxy A series and Realme 14 Pro+. It’s a strong contender in its price range.

Infinix Note 50 Pro plus Camera, photo and video quality

Infinix Note 50 Pro+ features a solid triple-camera system, including a standout 3x telephoto lens. The telephoto camera, with its 12cm close-up capability, captures sharp and detailed shots. The main camera offers good quality with a 50MP Sony sensor and OIS lens. The ultrawide camera, while unique in this range for its autofocus, performs well too.

The camera app offers various modes, and while the interface might be a bit unusual, it doesn’t interfere with the experience. The main camera’s photos are detailed, with a natural look and excellent dynamic range, though some might find the processing a bit conservative. The 50MP mode adds extra detail, but it’s generally unnecessary.

The 3x telephoto camera delivers sharp and vibrant photos with good detail, even at a close range. Portrait mode works well, but colors can appear a bit flat. The ultrawide camera, while not perfect, offers solid dynamic range and colors.

Selfies are decent, with good detail but not as impressive as the main camera. The selfie camera has good dynamic range, though saturation could be better.

In low-light conditions, the Note 50 Pro+ performs well across its cameras. The main camera captures bright, detailed photos with great dynamic range. The telephoto camera excels in low light, offering vibrant colors and fine detail. The ultrawide camera does well, but some detail is softer.

For video, the Note 50 Pro+ can shoot 4K at 60fps with the main and telephoto cameras, and 1440p with the ultrawide. The selfie camera supports 4K at 30fps. Daylight videos look great, with excellent dynamic range and color accuracy, though they may lack sharpness. Low-light footage is solid but softer compared to other lighting conditions.

Stabilization is good, especially in static shots, though walking causes some shake and focus issues. Camera system is versatile and performs well for its price range.

Pros and Cons of Infinix Note 50 Pro Plus

Pros ✅Cons ❌
🏗️ Glass-metal body, IP64 rating.🌈 Weak HDR display quality.
❤️ Heart rate sensor and LED light on the back.🔋 Average battery life, poor voice calls.
⚡ Very fast charging + wireless option (MagSafe-like).📱 Only 2 major OS updates.
⚙️ XOS with many features and AI tools.🧩 No eSIM support.
📸 Very good camera: great zoom, closeups, AF on ultrawide, solid main camera.🖼️ Soft detail and noise in photos.
🎥 Stabilization is iffy when walking.

Conclusion

Infinix Note 50 Pro Plus gets many things right, and its weaknesses are not deal-breakers for most people. However, if you travel a lot, you might miss eSIM support. Also, if you make a lot of voice calls, its average performance there could be a concern. Plus, software updates are limited.

On the positive side, the Note 50 Pro+ has a great camera setup. The main camera is strong, the ultrawide is impressive for its price, and the telephoto lens outperforms some more expensive phones.

The battery life is average, but charging is super fast, and wireless charging is a rare bonus in this price range. Extra features like the heart rate monitor and back LED light add even more value.

Note 50 Pro+ is a solid choice, especially for budget-friendly camera lovers.
