The global version of Redmi Turbo 4, Poco X7 Pro, is now available worldwide, and it stands out as the most exciting model in the new X7 lineup. Unlike its competitors, it doesn’t have a direct rival in the Redmi Note 14 series. Plus, its specs and price make it a great value.
Poco X7 Pro includes considerable advancements over X6 Pro, including an IP68 designation for water and dust resistance, and in some regions, like as India, it has IP69 protection. It also includes the new Dimensity 8400 Ultra chip for greater performance and cooling.
X7 Pro keeps the 6.67″ AMOLED display from X6 Pro with a higher peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i protection and Dolby Vision support.
On the back, the dual camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera. 2MP macro camera is no longer included. Front camera is a 20MP selfie shooter.
Battery is larger than before, with a 6,000mAh battery (6,550mAh in India) and both versions support 90W fast charging. The phone runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 2.
For a unique touch, there’s a limited Iron Man Edition with special packaging, design and a red UI theme.

Poco X7 Pro Design, build quality and handling
Poco X7 Pro features a flat design, offering a more secure and comfortable grip compared to the curved X7 model. The phone has a flat Gorilla Glass 7i front, a matte-finished plastic frame and a matte plastic back. It is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance, with some markets offering an IP69 version for better water resistance.
Back panel has a two-tone finish, with a polished-to-matte transition and the yellow version includes a black eco-leather segment. The Iron Man Edition features a cool matte design with an Iron Man helmet and Marvel Avengers logo, perfect for fans.
Camera housing is smaller than X6 Pro, with only two cameras now. Flat design, which we appreciate, gives great grip and is resistant to smudges, except for the screen. Front is mostly screen, with a small punch-hole for 20MP camera, and the earpiece doubles as a stereo speaker.
Fingerprint scanner is under the display and works almost flawlessly. Phone includes two stereo speakers, located at the top and bottom near USB-C port. There are also microphones near USB-C port and IR blaster at the top.
Poco X7 Pro is 160.8 x 75.2 x 8.3 mm and weighs 195g, making it similar in size to X6 Pro but slightly heavier. Design and build quality of Poco X7 Pro earn an A rating from us.
Poco X7 Pro Display, battery life, charging speed and speakers
Poco X7 Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,220 x 2,170 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The screen is bright, reaching up to 1,265 nits, and has great color quality for streaming content like Netflix.
Phone has a 6,000mAh battery (6,550mAh in India). It lasts about 12 hours and 43 minutes with regular use, which is decent but not exceptional for its size. It performs well for video and calls, but average for browsing and gaming.
Poco X7 Pro supports 90W fast charging. It can charge up to 49% in 15 minutes, 83% in 30 minutes, and 100% in 44 minutes. The charger isn’t included in the box in some regions, but it works with any 90W+ USB-PD adapter.
Phone has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos for better sound. The top speaker acts as an earpiece, and the audio is clear with good balance, rich highs and some bass. It performed well in loudness tests.
Poco X7 Pro Software and performance
Poco X7 Pro runs on HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, offering a smoother experience than the Poco X7, which has Android 14. Xiaomi promises three major updates and four years of security support.
Software is similar to MIUI but more polished, with features like an Iron Man theme, no default app drawer (but it can be enabled), and multitasking options like split-screen.
It also includes impressive AI features, such as Google Gemini for tasks like generating cooking ideas, image creation, and translation. The Gallery app lets you edit photos with AI tools, like changing the sky in your pictures.
The phone is powered by the Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset, which performs well in tests. It comes with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6E, and performs well under stress.
Poco X7 Pro offers great performance and AI features at an affordable price.
Poco X7 Pro Camera, photo and video quality
Poco X7 Pro has a dual camera setup on the back: a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and 2x zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. There’s also a 20MP selfie camera.
- The main camera takes good 12.5MP photos with vibrant colors and wide dynamic range, though it sometimes struggles with high-contrast scenes.
- The 2x zoom works well and produces natural-looking photos, though colors can sometimes appear washed out.
- The 8MP ultrawide camera captures decent photos with good color and low noise.
- The 20MP selfies, however, lack detail and can appear blurry.
At night, the main camera does well in low-light, capturing clear, detailed photos with low noise. The 2x zoom at night is just a digital zoom, which doesnβt provide the best results. The ultrawide camera also takes soft, clean night shots with a red tint.
For videos, the Poco X7 Pro can record 4K at 60fps with the main camera and 1080p at 30fps with the ultrawide and selfie cameras. The 4K video quality is solid, with good detail and natural colors. The video stabilization works well on all cameras.
