Realme 14 Pro Review

Design and Build

Realme 14 Pro has a sleek design with dimensions of 162.8 x 75 x 7.8mm and weighs 181 grams (for the grey version). It features IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust resistance and Gorilla Glass 5 on display for added protection. Phone comes in three colors: Suede Grey, Pearl White and Jaipur Pink. Suede Grey version has a vegan leather finish, giving it a premium feel and a comfortable grip.

Phone is slim and lightweight, even with its large battery, making it easy to hold and use for long periods. The camera module is simple and blends smoothly with the back. The flat edges give it a modern look. With MIL-STD-810H certification, it’s durable and can handle dust, water and other tough conditions.

In the box, you’ll find the phone, a 45W SuperVOOC charger, a USB-C cable, a SIM ejector tool, a protective case and some paperwork.

Display and Audio

The Realme 14 Pro features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2392 x 1264p and 10-bit colors. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming, making for smooth visuals and less strain on the eyes. The screen reaches a peak brightness of 4500 nits, making it easy to see even in bright sunlight. It supports HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG for better picture quality.

Display is curved on the left and right sides and you can choose from display modes like Vivid, Natural and Pro, plus adjust the screen’s color temperature. Screen’s 1.5K resolution adds more sharpness.

For audio, Realme 14 Pro has dual stereo speakers that deliver loud and clear sound, perfect for casual listening and gaming, though it may not match audio quality of high-end flagship phones.

Performance and Software

Realme 14 Pro runs on the Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset offering better performance than its predecessor. It comes in two variants: 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for smooth multitasking.

For gaming, it supports 120fps in some titles. In real use, games like Genshin Impact and Call of Duty run well without overheating, even after 45 minutes of play.

Phone packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging, lasting up to two days on a full charge. Charging takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

It uses Realme UI 6 with Android 15 and guarantees two major OS updates and three years of security updates. It does, however, have certain pre-installed programs, many of which may be deleted or disabled.

Camera and Other Features

The Realme 14 Pro has a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 2MP monochrome lens. Unlike previous models, it lacks an ultra-wide camera, which may disappoint some users. The 16MP front camera takes good selfies and portrait shots.

In bright lighting, the main camera captures detailed and vibrant photos with good dynamic range. Low-light performance is decent and the MagicGlow triple-LED flash helps improve night shots. The camera offers 1x, 2x and up to 20x digital zoom, plus a portrait mode with 1x and 2x zoom. The underwater mode takes advantage of the phoneโ€™s IP68 rating.

For video, it records 4K at 30fps and 60fps with Ultra Steady OIS. The AI-powered photography tools include AI Eraser for removing objects, AI Ultra Clarity for sharper images, and AI Snap mode for capturing moving objects.

The phone includes a 6,000mmยฒ VC cooling system for better heat management and GT mode for performance boosts. Realmeโ€™s Next AI features improve the experience with:
โœ” Clear Voice โ€“ Reduces background noise during calls
โœ” Share with iPhone โ€“ Allows easy file transfers
โœ” Live Alerts โ€“ Similar to Appleโ€™s Dynamic Island

For health-conscious users, the fingerprint scanner can measure heart rate, though itโ€™s not medical-grade. AI Eye Care reduces eye strain, while Air Gestures enable touch-free control. Free Call supports Bluetooth calling, useful when the network is weak.

While AI Transcribe and AI Remove Reflection arenโ€™t available yet, Realme may add them later. Features like an IR blaster and NFC would have been nice at this price point.

Realme 14 Pro: Pros & Cons
