Tecno Camon 30 Premier Design
Tecno Camon 30 Premier is designed to feel high-end, and it does a great job. It has IP54 protection, which means it’s splash and dust resistant. Front has Gorilla Glass 5, making it durable, although it’s not latest version.
Frame is made of aluminum while back features vegan leather that feels soft and nice but isn’t very grippy. You can choose between Alps Snowy Silver and Hawaii Lava Black colors.
Even though it weighs more, phone doesn’t feel heavy in your hand. It’s also thin at 7.9 mm and flat sides blend well with front and back panels.
Button layout is a bit different: volume buttons are on left while the power button is on right. Buttons are easy to reach, although power button might be hard to press for people with smaller hands. However, it’s large enough to find easily.
Under-display fingerprint reader works well—it’s quick and accurate. But it’s placed a little too close to bottom edge which can be inconvenient.
Design is impressive and build feels nice, though it can be a bit slippery.

LTPO technology allows phone to adjust its refresh rate, making it smoother when you use it. Thin bezels around screen give it modern & attractive look.
This display supports HDR and has Widevine L1 certification, meaning you can watch high-quality videos on streaming services like Netflix & Amazon Prime Video without any issues.
In terms of brightness, screen can reach up to 854 nits in auto mode although it’s advertised to go as high as 1,400 nits under high brightness mode. While display performs decently in most situations, it may not be as bright as some competing devices which could affect viewing in very bright conditions.
Tecno Camon 30 Premier Refresh Rate
Camon 30 Premier offers four refresh rate options: 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz & Auto-switch mode. Thanks to its LTPO display, it can change the refresh rate based on what you are doing. For example when screen is idle, it can drop to 10Hz to save battery but when you are using it, it can go up to 120Hz for smooth experience.
When watching videos on YouTube, phone adjusts the refresh rate based on the video quality, playing 60fps videos at 60Hz, 30fps videos at 30Hz and 24fps videos at 60Hz.

In our tests, phone achieved impressive Active Use Score of 13 hours and 29 minutes which is great compared to other devices in its price range. This score shows how long phone can last with mix of different activities, making it suitable for most users.
Tecno Camon 30 Premier Charging Speed
When it comes to charging, Camon 30 Premier supports 70-watt charging which is quite competitive. In our tests, it charged up to 77% in just 15 minutes & can reach a full charge in about 30 minutes if you start from zero. This means you can quickly power up your phone even when you’re in a hurry.
Tecno Camon 30 Premier Speakers
Camon 30 Premier features a standard hybrid speaker system with bottom-firing speaker as the main one and earpiece that doubles as a second speaker. Right out of box, sound is impressive and loud, earning a score of -21.9 LUFS, one of highest we’ve tested.
However, while sound is loud, quality can be affected at higher volumes. High frequencies may ring, causing some distortion, but lowering the volume bit can help improve the audio quality. Bass is decent, giving music fuller sound, making it enjoyable for casual listening.
Tecno Camon 30 Premier HIOS 14 and Android 14
HiOS 14 interface on Camon 30 Premier is similar to what you’ll find on other Tecno phones like Pova 6 Pro and Spark 20 Pro+. It’s mostly like HiOS 13 but it has improvements especially with Dynamic Port 2.0 which is like Apple’s Dynamic Island. This feature gives you useful information and easy access to certain apps.
Tecno Camon 30 Premier Performance Benchmarking
Tecno Camon 30 Premier is powered by the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chip, built using 4nm process. “Ultimate” part is bit confusing because it seems the specs are same as standard Dimensity 8200. This chip is said to be better version of Dimensity 8100, featuring new setup with 1+3+4 cores: one main core at 3.1 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores at 3.0 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz.
While GPU is the same as before—Mali-G610 MC6—the phone comes with generous 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This should be enough for most users, though Tecno hasn’t clarified whether the storage is UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.1, leaving us unsure about its speed.
