Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Design, build quality and handling
Poco X6 and Redmi Note 13 Pro may have similar internals, but they look different. This helps distinguish the Poco and Redmi series.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has a sleek design with flat glass panels and a flat plastic frame. Unlike the Poco, it features a square camera housing with prominent rings around the lenses. The front is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus while the back is made of glass, though its exact type is unspecified.
It comes in Midnight Black, Aurora Purple, and Ocean Teal. The Arctic White variant, which has a frosted finish, is exclusive to China. The phone has an IP54 rating, making it resistant to dust and splashes.
The 6.67-inch OLED screen has thin, uniform bezels, rivaling some flagship models. A 16MP selfie camera is housed in a small punch-hole at the top. The hybrid speaker system uses the earpiece as a second speaker, with an additional sound outlet on the frame.

The phone supports Full HD streaming with HDR10 and Dolby Vision on apps like Netflix.
It has a 5,100mAh battery with good performance in video streaming, web browsing, and gaming. The 67W fast charging refills 49% in 15 minutes, 83% in 30 minutes, and fully charges in 42 minutes.
The stereo speakers are balanced, with a bottom speaker and the earpiece acting as another. Dolby Atmos is supported, offering clear vocals, crisp highs, and some bass.

Redmi Note 13 Pro runs MIUI 14 on Android 13, with an update to HyperOS coming later. It will likely get three years of major updates and one extra year of security patches.
MIUI 14 includes text recognition in the Gallery, better smart device control, larger home screen folders, and improved system performance.
The interface is simple, with an app drawer, a search bar, and a split notification and control center (which can be changed). Floating windows, a Sidebar for quick access, and a Video Toolbox for background YouTube playback are also available.
Customization options include themes, wallpapers, and an Always-on Display (AoD), though the AoD only stays on for 10 seconds. Notification effects are limited.
A Security app protects against malware, manages app permissions, and optimizes performance.
MIUI 14 is smooth, customizable, and responsive. Ads can be disabled in settings.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Camera, photo and video quality
Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has a powerful 200MP main camera with a large sensor (1/1.4″) and wide f/1.7 aperture. It also features optical image stabilization (OIS) and multi-directional PDAF, which helps capture clear, detailed photos. This camera outshines the Poco X6, which has a 64MP camera, in photo quality. It also includes an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera, while the front camera is a 16MP selfie shooter.
Daytime photos from the main camera are impressive, offering sharp details and vibrant colors, with minimal quality loss indoors. There may be slight exposure issues in indoor shots, but the camera performs excellently in most conditions. The 200MP mode, however, doesn’t add much benefit, as it creates noisy and soft images. A comparison with the Poco X6 shows the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G produces much better photo quality.
The 2x zoom mode works well with minimal quality loss, producing sharp images with plenty of detail. The 4x zoom, on the other hand, is less impressive, with soft and noisy images, though still better than the Poco X6. The ultrawide camera is a bit disappointing, producing soft photos with poor contrast and limited dynamic range. The macro camera, while decent in good lighting, lacks detail and autofocus, making it difficult to capture sharp close-up shots.
In low light, the main camera performs surprisingly well. The Night mode automatically kicks in in darker scenes, providing extra detail and sharpness. Even without Night mode, photos have great contrast, color accuracy, and fine details, making the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G a solid choice for low-light photography.

Conclusion
Redmi Note 13 Pro is a big upgrade over its predecessor without increasing the price. It is a well-rounded phone with great features.
Display is excellent, the performance is smooth, and the 200MP main camera stands out. The battery life is solid, and fast charging is quick and reliable.
However, the ultrawide camera could be better, and a hardware proximity sensor would be a nice addition.
