Tecno Pova 6 Neo Pricing and Availability
Tecno Pova 6 Neo is available in India in two versions. 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at โน12,999 while 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs โน13,999. Both versions can be purchased through Tecno eStore.
Tecno Pova 6 Neo Display and Design
Tecno Pova 6 Neo in Midnight Shadow has a stylish look with golden rings around cameras and a glowing aura light, giving it a premium touch. Matte glass back helps keep fingerprints away which is great for those who like a clean, smudge-free phone. It’s comfortable to hold even without a cover and has a balanced weight and smooth edges.
Weighing 192 grams and just 7.8mm thick, phone is easy to handle. It has an IP54 rating for basic water and dust resistance. Buttons and ports are placed in the usual spots with a headphone jack, USB port and speaker grille at the bottom, and power and volume buttons on right. Flat design feels solid, though it can feel a bit bulky if kept in a pocket for too long.
6.67-inch IPS LCD display has resolution of 720×1600 and 120Hz refresh rate. While screen looks good for price, its brightness struggles in direct sunlight and thick bezels, especially at bottom, are quite noticeable when watching videos. Compared to competitors offering AMOLED displays at a similar price, Tecno could have done better here.
Phone is good for watching content and supports Netflix. It doesnโt have HDR and audio can distort at high volumes. Despite these minor issues, it offers solid performance for its price.
Tecno Pova 6 Neo Performance and Software
Tecno Pova 6 Neo is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, found in other phones like Infinix Hot 50 5G and Realme 13. It performs better in benchmarks than some competitors like OPPO K12x and Tecno Pova 6 Pro which is a positive sign.
Phone comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, running on HiOS 14.5 based on Android 14. It offers smooth performance for tasks like calls, messaging and social media. 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling feel smooth and responsive.
For gaming- Subway Surfers runs smoothly, but Call of Duty: Mobile shows performance dips on higher settings, dropping to 52 fps. On lower settings, it holds at 60 fps but phone heats up after extended sessions.
Phone has useful AI features like AI Portrait and AI Cutout but you might not use them often. It also has a dynamic island for notifications and music that looks nice but isnโt a big deal.
However, Pova 6 Neo comes with pre-installed Tecno apps which may affect overall performance slightly.
Tecno Pova 6 Neo Cameras
108-megapixel AI camera on Tecno Pova 6 Neo performs well in daylight, delivering vibrant colors and sharp details. Though phone takes a moment to process each shot, final results are impressive for price. Dynamic range is handled fairly well, though camera struggles with photos taken against light, causing shadows to lose detail and look a bit artificial.
Phone doesnโt have an ultra-wide camera, limiting photo variety. Portraits look good with natural skin tones but need better background blur.
For selfies- 8-megapixel front camera does a great job of keeping look authentic, though occasionally a reddish tint appears on cheeks and forehead. In low-light conditions, landscape shots lose clarity and detail, though with slightly better lighting, camera manages decent performance.
Tecno Pova 6 Neo Battery and Charging
Tecno Pova 6 Neo comes with 5,000mAh battery offering solid performance for everyday use. Included 18W charger takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to fully charge phone, which might feel a bit slow if you’re in a hurry.
Even though the PCMark battery test had errors, the phone lasted almost 13 hours. In real use, including gaming and streaming, it lasted all day before needing a charge.

Conclusion
Tecno Pova 6 Neo has sleek design & good performance with some useful AI features. Its 108-megapixel camera takes great photos in daylight. However, the IPS LCD display isnโt as good as the AMOLED screens on some competitors, and the 18W charger is slow. The camera also struggles in low light.
Overall, itโs a good value for the price. If you want a better display or faster charging, you might want to consider spending a bit more on alternatives like the Realme P1.
